Earlier this year beloved Maryland rock & roll band Two Inch Astronaut announced they would be taking an indefinite hiatus. But with the death of one project came the birth of another. Leaving behind his once-punk sound, vocalist/guitarist Sam Woodring has since breathed life into his new solo endeavor, Mister Goblin. We have your first listen of the pop project’s first-ever song “Be Right There”— from his upcoming EP, Final Boy, out December 7th on Exploding in Sound Records. The track finds Woodring taking on a more gentle approach and brighter disposition, as glistening acoustic melodies drift over soft programmed percussion. Harmonies from Stove’s Jordyn Blakely add depth while, his singer-songwriter skill shines through the lyrically-driven pop ballad; proving Woodring is more than a just a one-trick-punk-pony.
