Eugene Quell is a song and dance man, who writes fuzz-driven sing-alongs. He also never existed, except in a story based almost entirely on 80s cult cinema, rock’n’roll history and a broken nose. It is easy to be somebody else, especially when they don’t exist.
Last year Quell released two EPs and toured the UK and mainland Europe, including three sold-out shows at London Bush Hall with La Dispute and O’Brother. He was also very happy to play both Simple Things and Gold Sounds festivals, and share dates with Cloud Nothings, Joanna Gruesome, Speedy Ortiz and Happyness.
Exploding in Sound Records and Sonic Anhedonic Recording Company are pleased to announce the release of ‘I Will Work The Land’, the new EP by Eugene Quell, out on 11th December 2015. This is Quells third record, and it’s available on cassette tape in US and UK through Exploding in Sound, and digital download, pay-what-you-want through Sonic Anhedonic.
To celebrate the release, Quell will be performing at The Shacklewell Arms in London on 11th December.
